DPWH: Karding damages PH infra at PHP135.09M

The partial cost of damage to national roads, bridges, and flood-control structures caused by Typhoon Karding (Noru) is PHP135.09 million as reported by the DPWH.

Central Luzon has the highest amount of damage at PHP91.38 million, followed by CAR with PHP19.6 million; Western Visayas, PHP12 million; Cagayan Valley, PHP9.11 million; and Mimaropa, PHP3 million.

The NDRRMC reported that the total infrastructure damage reached P23M on Wednesday, which is almost eight times higher than Tuesday’s report of P3M.

Five national road sections remain closed to traffic due to safety concerns or flooding.
