ITCZ brings scattered rains over PH

Two weather systems, including the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), will bring scattered rain showers over parts of the Philippines on Monday.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Cagayan Valley and Aurora province will have scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms caused by a shearline or northeasterly surface windflow.

The rest of Luzon is expected to see isolated rains, especially in the afternoon, while Visayas and Mindanao will experience warm and humid weather with possible isolated afternoon rains.

Two weather disturbances are being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility but do not pose a direct threat to the country.

Gale warnings are in effect for the western and northern seaboards of Northern Luzon.
