ITCZ brings rain to Mindanao, easterly winds cause isolated showers elsewhere

Two weather systems are expected to bring more rain to parts of the Philippines on Thursday, with the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) causing cloudy skies and scattered rains in Mindanao, while easterly winds will result in isolated showers elsewhere.

Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, posing a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterly winds, with potential for flash floods during severe storms.

Light to moderate winds are forecasted in Luzon moving east-southeast with slight to moderate coastal waters, while Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speeds from the east-northeast direction and slight to moderate coastal waters.
