Surigae's trough brings rains over Eastern Visayas, Mindanao

The trough of Severe Tropical Storm Surigae, which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday, is causing scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

Surigae was last located 985 kilometers east of Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness up to 135 kph.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and rough seas are expected in the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
