Typhoon Bising Moves Away from Philippines

Typhoon Bising accelerated northeastward away from landmass on Thursday, April 22.

PAGASA lifted all tropical cyclone wind signals as Bising maintained its strength with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gustiness up to 185 kph.

Bising was last seen 390 km east of Basbo, Batanes, moving at 15 kph.

The typhoon is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday evening or early Sunday morning.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Cagayan Valley and Ilocos Norte due to Bising's northeasterly wind flow.

Rough seas continue in Northern Luzon, with sea travel risky for small seacrafts; moderate to rough seas also experienced in the eastern seaboard of Bicol and northern Samar.
