Celebrities and citizens unite for Taal Volcano victims

Filipino celebrities and ordinary citizens are coming together to help victims of the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas, which has left over 24,000 people displaced.

Angel Locsin is one of the celebrities who have taken to social media to ask for donations and information on what items are needed by those affected.

Meanwhile, members of the Philippine Army, along with actor Matteo Guidicelli, distributed relief goods in Batangas.

In other areas, street vendors and local businesses are also pitching in to help, providing free food and face masks to evacuees.

The Taal Volcano remains at Alert Level 4 as of Tuesday, January 14, with the number of evacuees continuing to rise.

The outpouring of support from Filipinos is a testament to the country's bayanihan spirit in times of crisis.
