Manila archdiocese churches collect donations for Taal victims

The Archdiocese of Manila is accepting donations from churchgoers for Taal Volcano victims starting Sunday, January 19.

Parishes under the archdiocese will hold second collections during Masses on both Saturday and Sunday.

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle requested that all churches take a second collection to aid those affected by the eruption.

Donations include water, canned goods, bread, toiletries, sleeping mats or mattresses/bed bags.

Churches are also encouraged to pray for an end to the eruptions and safety of people.
