IATF extends LSI travel ban to N. Samar, Biliran

As of Monday, July 13, 2020, Northern Samar's provincial government will continue to accept returning locally stranded individuals (LSIs) despite requesting an extension on the ban.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved a resolution extending the travel ban until July 31 due to limited healthcare resources and capacity in Northern Samar and Biliran provinces.

Both provinces cited insufficient hospital beds, lack of medical supplies, and shortage of healthcare workers as reasons for the extension request.
