Eastern Visayas reports 11 new Covid-19 cases, total now at 611

Eastern Visayas has reported 11 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 611.

Of these new cases, five are from Lavezares town in Northern Samar and six are from Leyte province.

The DOH also noted that out of the region's total cases, only 18 percent (111) are active, while 486 have recovered with three deaths reported.

Confirmed cases have been increasing due to returning residents who were stranded by movement restrictions in Metro Manila and Cebu.
