DOH: PH nCoV PUIs climb to 284

As of Sunday, February 9, the number of persons under investigation (PUI) for possible 2019 novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection in the Philippines has risen to 284.

Of these, 240 are hospitalized, 15 refused admission, and 24 were discharged; three have tested positive with one fatality.

Metro Manila leads with 108 PUIs, while Central Mindanao reported its first case involving a person who traveled to an affected country and showed flu-like symptoms.

In Bohol, another nurse was identified as the fifth PUI due to contact with a confirmed case; she is being isolated along with her colleague exhibiting similar symptoms.
