Gov't rolls out Resbakuna sa Botika program in Metro Manila

The government is rolling out a 'Resbakuna sa Botika' program starting January 20 in Metro Manila, allowing individuals aged 18 and above to receive booster shots at selected pharmacies.

Seven pharmaceutical stores including Watsons, Mercury Drug, The Generics Pharmacy, Generika, South Star Drug, QualiMed, and Healthway will participate in the pilot run.

The program initially offers vaccines that require +2°C to +8°C temperature to avoid complications with -20°C and -80°C jabs.

During the first week of the pilot run, only booster shots will be administered at pharmacies while clinics can provide primary doses, second doses, and boosters.

Pharmacies are set to offer up to 100 doses per day during the initial phase with potential increases if demand is high.
