PNP: Unvaxxed commuters get warning first week

The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) in the National Capital Region (NCR) said unvaccinated commuters will only receive a warning during the first week of the 'no vaccination, no ride' policy.

Commuters who violate the policy will not be fined or given citation tickets for the first week.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) issued an order on January 11 limiting public transportation access to vaccinated individuals in NCR under Alert Level 3 or higher.

Transportation officials plan to deploy 'mystery passengers' starting Jan. 17 to monitor compliance with the policy.

Drivers and operators, not unvaccinated passengers, can be fined for allowing unvaccinated riders according to DOTr guidelines.
