DILG: LGUs consolidate data on vaccinated, unvaccined

The DILG on Friday emphasized the need to consolidate data on vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals to determine vaccine requirements for different areas.

This will help identify regions with excess vaccines that can be redistributed to areas in greater need, addressing provincial leaders' concerns about prioritizing NCR last year.

DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño praised LGUs implementing creative methods to encourage vaccination, such as Quezon City's cash incentives for unvaccinated vendors.

Diño also urged unvaccinated barangay officials to either resign or take leave, stating they cannot enforce 'no vax, no entry' policies if they themselves are unvaccinated.
