Baguio asks barangays to list unvaxxed residents

Baguio City has asked barangay officials to assist in listing unvaccinated residents and facilitating their vaccination.

Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan said this move aims to further improve the city's high vaccination rate, which stands at 95.09 percent as of January 15.

Despite the high rate, some residents refuse vaccines due to religious beliefs, medical conditions, or fear of needles.

The Baguio City Health Services Office reported that the city has surpassed its self-imposed goal of a 95% vaccination rate, with 268,168 individuals fully vaccinated out of an eligible population of 281,000.
