Gov't expects 50M monthly vaccine doses Sept-Dec

The Philippine government expects around 50 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to arrive monthly from September to December this year.

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III stated that securing these doses will allow full vaccination of the adult population by January.

As of now, the government has secured approximately 170 million vaccine doses amounting to USD1.302 billion, with an additional 24.9 million doses secured by the private sector.

NTF Against COVID-19 chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that nearly 195 million doses have been secured through procurement and donations from COVAX Facility.

Galvez also announced a steady supply of vaccines up to 25 million doses next month, including an additional purchase order for 10 million Sinovac doses at a lower price.
