Baguio vaccinates over 7.5K tourism workers

As of Thursday, September 2, about 7,510 tourism workers in Baguio City have been vaccinated against COVID-19, surpassing the initial target of nearly 6,000 workers.

The vaccination drive took place from August 31 to September 1 and was attended by Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.

Initially, only 454 or 8.3% of the registered tourism sector workers had been vaccinated since March's vaccine rollout.

The city government set aside 4,000 doses for a three-day vaccination activity at Baguio Country Club as part of its Charter Day celebration on August 30.

This initiative aims to recognize the contributions of the tourism industry and ensure the safety of both workers and clients.
