Bacolod launches 24-hour vax drive for daily wage workers

Bacolod City launched a 24-hour vaccination drive starting Monday, August 30, to reach daily wage workers and urban poor communities.

The city approved an evening center from 8 pm to 8 am at a Jollibee branch near a busy market, serving vendors and transport workers exempted from the curfew.

On Saturday, August 28, Bacolod’s Emergency Operations Center said this initiative would complement daytime vaccination efforts.

Prior to the 24-hour drive, the city held a 'Bigjab Weekend' on Aug. 28-29 at two shopping malls, vaccinating up to 1,000 individuals per day or a total of 4,000 over two days.
