Ginebra wins Commissioner's Cup game 94-72

Barangay Ginebra secured its second win in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup with a convincing 94-72 victory over Phoenix on Friday night at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Ginebra, known for their strong defense, held Phoenix to just seven points in the final quarter and limited them to only 24 points in the second half, effectively ending any comeback hopes from the Fuel Masters.

RJ Abarrientos led Ginebra's bench with a standout performance of 12 points, six assists, and five rebounds in just 23 minutes, earning him Player of the Game honors.

Scottie Thompson contributed 17 points, six rebounds, and two steals for Ginebra, while Justin Brownlee played efficiently off the bench due to Abarrientos' strong performance.

Coach Tim Cone praised Abarrientos for extending the lead in the second half, allowing Brownlee to rest ahead of upcoming playoff games.
