Guest club Hong Kong Eastern defeated Barangay Ginebra in a tight PBA Commissioner's Cup match with a score of 93-90 on Sunday night, overcoming the home crowd support at Ynares Center.

Hayden Blankley and Glen Yang led the Eastern team with standout performances, contributing significantly to their victory.

Blankley scored 25 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Chris McLaughlin added 20 points and a game-high 21 rebounds.

Hong Kong's coach Mensur Bajramović praised his players for executing their game plan against the experienced Ginebra team despite struggling at the free-throw line, missing 14 of their 15 attempts.

Despite strong efforts from Japeth Aguilar with 26 points and contributions from other key players like Justin Brownlee, Barangay Ginebra fell short in their attempt to extend their winning streak after going 0-for-19 from three-point range.

Hong Kong Eastern will next face San Miguel in the East Asia Super League on Wednesday, while Barangay Ginebra aims to bounce back against Terrafirma.
