Phoenix beats NorthPort 115-109, ends winless streak

Phoenix defeated NorthPort, 115-109, ending its winless streak in the PBA Commissioner's Cup and handing NorthPort its first loss of the season on Tuesday, December 17;

Donovan Smith led Phoenix with a comprehensive performance of 32 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals, including two crucial free throws that sealed the win in the final moments;

Jason Perkins contributed 24 points for Phoenix, while RJ Jazul added 14 points to support Smith's efforts, scoring eight of them in the fourth quarter, including a big three-pointer that made it an eight-point game with just over two minutes left;

Kadeem Jack led NorthPort with 28 points and 16 rebounds, followed by Arvin Tolentino who scored 23 points, nearly securing a six-game winning streak but falling short in the last two minutes;

Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin praised his veterans for their resilience and emphasized the importance of continuing to improve ahead of their next game against Converge on Thursday.
