GenSan urges caution on nCoV, no confirmed cases

The city government of General Santos urges residents to refrain from sharing unverified information about the novel coronavirus (nCoV) to prevent panic.

Dr. Rochelle Oco, acting city health officer, clarifies that there are no confirmed cases or persons under investigation for nCoV in the city.

Oco advises those who have traveled to Wuhan, China, or other affected areas to monitor their health and seek medical attention if they experience symptoms like fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

The city is monitoring residents and visitors who traveled to countries with reported outbreaks within the last two weeks.

Residents are advised to take precautionary measures such as avoiding contact with sick individuals and seeking immediate medical care if needed.
