Duterte yet to get second Sinopharm vax dose

President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to receive his second dose of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, as he is waiting for the emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Philippine Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA granted an EUA on Monday, June 7, covering only the batch of 1,000 donated Sinopharm doses from China, which includes Duterte’s second shot.

Duterte received his first dose on May 3, but criticism over the early administration led to threats to return the vaccines.
