PH to amend Pfizer EUA for teens aged 12-15

Health authorities plan to amend the emergency use authorization for Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine to include children aged 12 to 15 years old.

The FDA received a positive evaluation and is set to issue an amendment within the week, following Pfizer's application on May 20.

President Duterte's spokesperson Harry Roque assured that teenagers will be considered in the vaccination program once steady supplies of Pfizer vaccines are available.

Pfizer's vaccine was the first approved for emergency use in the Philippines, and while the country has received over 193,000 doses so far, more than two million additional doses are expected to arrive from COVAX Facility in June.
