Duterte OKs P2.5B from contingency fund for vaccines

President Duterte approved the release of P2.5 billion from the Office of the President contingency fund on Saturday to purchase around four million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

The funds, equivalent to $56 million, will cover vaccine costs and related logistical expenses, with deliveries expected this month.

Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado issued a special allotment release order for the Department of Health.
