PAGASA: LPA, ITCZ bring scattered rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

PAGASA forecasts scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao due to a low pressure area (LPA) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

The LPA was last spotted southwest of Cotabato City.

Visayas and Mindanao may experience flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are also expected in Bicol, Quezon, and MIMAROPA due to the tail-end of a frontal system.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with rains due to northeast monsoon (Amihan).

Isolated light rains are expected in other parts of Luzon.
