Zamboanga City records 1,795 breakthrough Covid-19 cases

Zamboanga City has recorded 1,795 breakthrough Covid-19 cases since its vaccination program began in March.

These cases represent about 0.4% of the city's vaccinated population of 401,694 people.

Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, advised residents not to be complacent even if they are fully vaccinated as everyone remains vulnerable to infection.

As of October 20, a total of 384,784 Zamboangueños have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with 160,300 individuals (23.07% of the eligible population) fully vaccinated.

The city's vaccination program started in March and includes six different brands: Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen, Sputnik, and Moderna.
