Florita infrastructure damage nears P500M

The damage to infrastructure caused by Severe Tropical Storm Florita is now close to P500 million, with most of the damage occurring in the Ilocos Region.

As of Monday, August 29, the cost of damaged infrastructures increased from over P33 million on Friday, August 26, to nearly P500 million.

The Ilocos Region accounted for 93 damaged infrastructures worth P474.58 million, while Cagayan Valley had nine damaged infrastructures valued at P24.4 million.

Additionally, the Department of Agriculture reported over P3 million in damage to agriculture in the Ilocos Region, and the National Irrigation Administration reported P10.85 million in damages in Calabarzon.

Nine roads in CAR and Bicol, and three bridges in Ilocos Region and Cagayan Valley remained impassable.
