FEU women's volleyball team secures third straight win

Far Eastern University (FEU) secured its third straight victory in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament with a decisive four-set win over Adamson on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Gerzel Petallo led FEU with 16 points, while Jean Asis and Faida Bakanke contributed significantly to the team’s performance; Assistant Coach Manolo Refugia praised their improvement since a loss to UP earlier in the season.

FEU overcame an initial sluggish start by focusing on Adamson's standout rookie Shaina Nitura, who scored 24 points, securing victory with solid defense and teamwork.

Tin Ubaldo managed 16 excellent sets along with four points and six digs as FEU improved its record to 4-2. The Lady Tamaraws are now in third place after their win and will face La Salle next Saturday for another chance at extending their winning streak.

Gerzel Petallo was named the Collegiate Press Corps (CPC) UAAP Player of the Week, recognizing her stellar performance that contributed to FEU's three straight wins.
