Philippines updates lockdown: Metro Manila, Iloilo, Cebu in ECQ

The Philippine government announced changes to the lockdown measures for various regions, effective May 1-15.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon (excluding Aurora), Calabarzon, Pangasinan, Benguet, and Baguio City will be under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Iloilo province, Cebu province, and Cebu City in the Visayas region, as well as Davao City in Mindanao, are also designated for ECQ.

Aklan, Capiz, Aurora, Davao del Norte, and Davao de Oro were previously listed but have been removed from the ECQ list following a taskforce meeting on Monday, April 27.

All other areas not under ECQ will be under general community quarantine (GCQ), which has more relaxed measures compared to ECQ.
