Cash aid distribution deadline extended until May 15

The deadline for distributing cash aid to low-income residents in NCR Plus has been extended until May 15.

DILG spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said this extension, approved by Interior Secretary Eduardo Año and other officials, is a 'one-time' measure due to the challenges of distribution during the pandemic.

LGUs can use various methods such as house-to-house delivery or automated financial systems for aid distribution.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed the extension in a press briefing, noting that it was requested by several LGUs due to difficulties in meeting the original deadline.
