Cash aid distribution deadline extended until May 15

The national government has extended the deadline for distributing cash aid in Metro Manila and four neighboring provinces until May 15.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the extension was approved due to delays caused by pandemic restrictions on mass gatherings.

Local governments were initially given more than two weeks to distribute P23 billion in aid, but only about P4 billion had been distributed as of Monday.
