Rep Ortega uncovers more suspicious names on VP Duterte's confidential fund receipts

On Sunday, March 16, Rep. Paolo Ortega disclosed additional suspicious names on receipts for Vice President Sara Duterte's confidential funds submitted to the Commission on Audit (COA) by the Office of the Vice President (OVP), raising further questions about fraudulent use.

Vice President Duterte questioned the veracity of these lists during a press conference in The Hague, Netherlands, expressing doubt whether they are indeed the same documents submitted by her office.

Ortega revealed that individuals named 'Jay Kamote,' 'Miggy Mango,' and five others referred to as 'Dodong Gang'—including Dodong Alcala, Dodong Bina, Dodong Bunal, Dodong Darong, and Dodong S. Barok—appear in these receipts, alongside previously flagged recipients like 'Mary Grace Piattos.'

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) confirmed that these individuals have no birth, marriage, or death records, supporting the case of alleged misuse of confidential funds.

Lawmakers have questioned the purpose of sealing acknowledgment receipts in envelopes labeled 'confidential' if names are hidden under code names, making it difficult for state auditors to verify disbursements.
