Duterte tells LGUs to follow national guidelines

President Rodrigo Duterte has instructed local government units (LGUs) to adhere strictly to national guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) regarding the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

Duterte warned LGUs against implementing their own policies that differ from IATF rules, particularly concerning the movement of cargo and goods.

The President emphasized that any deviation could make the quarantine more difficult for people and constitute an abuse of authority.
