PNP supports cops at quarantine checkpoints, urges LGUs to follow IATF rules

The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured its support for police officers manning quarantine checkpoints during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

PNP Deputy Chief for Operations Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar emphasized the importance of protecting frontline personnel to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Eleazar also called on local government units (LGUs) to comply with uniform rules set by the Joint Task Force Corona Virus Shield, particularly in ensuring smooth travel for cargo and vehicles delivering essential goods.
