Roque: Duterte prefers Sinopharm vaccine but no direct talks

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte prefers the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine but has not had direct negotiations with Sinopharm.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque clarified that Duterte did not negotiate directly with Sinopharm despite claims by special envoy Mon Tulfo.

Roque confirmed Duterte's preference for Sinopharm, stating that the President wants to take it but is being advised against it due to lack of Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA.

The PSG received 10,000 doses of Sinopharm despite lacking government regulations and approvals, raising concerns about its use without EUA.
