Only 19% of Pinoys willing to get COVID-19 vaccine

Only 19% of adult Filipinos are willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 according to a survey by the Octa Research Group.

The survey found that 46% of respondents do not want to get vaccinated, while 35% remain undecided.

Respondents also expressed distrust towards Chinese vaccines, with 58% expressing total distrust and only 13% expressing trust.

This poses a challenge for the country's vaccination rollout, especially since Sinovac’s vaccine may be among the first to be used.
