Duterte orders 60-day pork, chicken price cap in Metro Manila

Retailers are considering going on a 'pork holiday' during this period to avoid losses and penalties for violating the price ceiling.

The DA is also studying the imposition of price caps at farmgate and trader levels, but currently only retailers at public markets are affected.

Meat vendors expressed concern over potential income loss due to increased costs like transportation and processing permits.
