Duterte orders 'Build Back Better Task Force' for typhoon rehab

President Duterte ordered the creation of an inter-agency task force to streamline disaster response efforts for areas hit by Super Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses.

The 'Build Back Better Task Force' will be led by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and include representatives from various government agencies such as the Departments of Agriculture, Public Works and Highways, Budget and Management, Social Welfare and Development, National Irrigation Administration, National Electrification Administration, and National Housing Authority.

An executive order is currently being drafted to formalize the task force's responsibilities and mandate for post-disaster rehabilitation and recovery efforts.
