Duterte orders aid for Ulysses-triggered floods

At least seven people died as Typhoon Ulysses triggered severe flooding in Metro Manila on Thursday.

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered government agencies to speed up relief efforts and cut short his attendance at a virtual meeting of Southeast Asian leaders to inspect the damage.

The typhoon, the eighth to hit the Philippines this year, forced residents to seek refuge on rooftops as tens of thousands of homes were submerged in water.
