DSWD distributes over 20K food packs to Samar typhoon victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed over 20,000 family food packs to Typhoon Ambo victims in Samar provinces.

Each pack contains rice, coffee, and canned goods sufficient for three to five days for a family of five.

As of Friday, the DSWD had served 18,395 families in Eastern Samar, with distributions continuing in Oras, Arteche, Dolores, San Policarpio, and Can-avid.

The DSWD dispatches relief items only when local government units request augmentation, as they are the first responders.
