DSWD gives over P4M aid to Florita-hit regions

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided over PHP4 million worth of aid to areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

Most of the assistance, amounting to PHP3.1 million, was delivered to Cagayan Valley with additional support given to other regions including Ilocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Cordillera Administrative Region.

The DSWD is also monitoring 669 families or 2,057 individuals in evacuation centers across the affected areas.

Additionally, PHP1 billion worth of assistance has been distributed by the DSWD and local government units to families impacted by Florita, including cash aid and relief goods like food packs and hygiene kits.
