Over 9,500 students in Bicol, CAR and Davao have received PHP20.36 million worth of educational assistance from DSWD under its AICS program as of Aug. 21, with payouts continuing until Sept. 24.

Nearly 3,300 students in Bicol have received PHP9.6 million worth of educational cash assistance from DSWD under its Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

At least 1,425 CAR learners have been given a total of PHP4,455,000 in financial aid through the AICS program to help cover school expenses and daily fares.

Over 2,760 students in Davao received PHP6.3 million worth of educational assistance from DSWD on Aug. 20 under its AICS program.

As of August 21, DSWD has distributed a total of P141 million in cash aid to over 48,000 indigent students across the country ahead of the new school year.
