DOTr Sec Dizon swears in new officials for shakeup

DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon has completed a shakeup in upper management by swearing in new officials appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., following his own appointment as DOTr secretary earlier this month.

The new undersecretaries and assistant secretaries were sworn into office on February 26 and 7, days after Dizon requested courtesy resignations from incumbent officials.

Among the newly sworn-in officials are Giovanni Lopez as undersecretary for Administration, Finance, and Procurement; Mark Steven Pastor as undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure; Jim Sydiongco as undersecretary for Aviation and Airports; Ramon Reyes as assistant secretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure; Teodorico Jose Delfin as undersecretary for Planning and Project Development, replacing Timothy John Batan; Raul Del Rosario as acting Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP); and Villamor Ventura Plan as assistant secretary for Maritime.

Dizon aims to bring in former transport officials with experience to help him lead the department and has been tasked by President Marcos Jr. to 'fast track' key infrastructure projects, including the Metro Manila Subway, North-South Commuter Railway, and MRT-7.
