DOTr creates FPMO to speed up infra projects

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon has established a new office within the agency called the Flagship Project Management Office (FPMO) to oversee policies for expediting infrastructure projects under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive.

Dizon issued Department Order No. 2025-002 on Wednesday, creating the FPMO and emphasizing that he will personally oversee these projects with strict adherence to timelines.

Priority IFPs identified by the FPMO include major transportation projects such as the Metro Manila Subway Project, North-South Commuter Railway Project, EDSA Busway Project, and EDSA Greenways Project within the Greater Manila Area, along with projects in Cebu and Davao.

The FPMO aims to coordinate implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of priority IFPs with partner agencies and government offices to streamline budgeting and synchronization efforts.

Mr. Dizon will chair the FPMO and identify other priority IFPs as necessary, closely monitoring their developments based on imposed deadlines.
