2 ships arrive in Manila as quarantine vessels

Two passenger ships provided by 2GO Travel arrived in Manila on Monday to be converted into quarantine ships for returning OFWs.

The ships, which will undergo inspection by DOH, BOQ, and PCG medical personnel, can accommodate up to 1,500 patients and are expected to be operational this week.

DOTr has been reaching out to shipping companies to seek their support for the initiative, with more expressing willingness to cooperate.
