Gov't ensures comfortable quarantine facilities for Covid-19 patients

The government is ensuring that quarantine facilities for individuals with confirmed coronavirus cases will be comfortable and well-equipped.

Each cubicle will have a power socket, free Wi-Fi, and food delivery to minimize movement within the facility.

Architect Daniel Lichauco stated that nurse stations in each facility will be enclosed rooms with HEPA filtration, and airlocks will prevent virus transmission.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar identified 125 evacuation centers nationwide as potential quarantine facilities.

BCDA President Vivencio Dizon announced 12 quarantine facilities in Metro Manila, including the Rizal Memorial Stadium Complex which is set to open this weekend.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire emphasized that these facilities help contain disease transmission and protect families who lack appropriate isolation rooms at home.
