Over 1K Pangasinan OFWs return, test negative for COVID-19

Over 1,051 repatriated Pangasinan Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have tested negative for COVID-19 since May 25.

The provincial government and OWWA coordinated to ensure returning OFWs were tested before arriving in Urdaneta City.

DOLE announced a new protocol requiring returning OFWs to submit names and destinations five days prior to departure, with immediate PCR testing upon arrival.

On June 9, 337 repatriated OFWs from Barbados arrived at Clark International Airport and received negative test results after two days.

The DOLE agreed that OFWs should not stay more than five days in NCR if their homes are outside the region.
