POLO in Riyadh suspends operations after staff test positive for COVID-19

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will temporarily suspend its operations starting Sunday after six staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

All 37 POLO personnel were tested following the initial infections of two staff members who transmitted the virus to others.

During the suspension, all officers and staff will work from home while continuing to provide consulting services and counseling to distressed OFWs on a 24/7 basis.

The office aims to prevent further infection among its staff and clients and conduct thorough disinfection of the premises.
