DOH logs 174 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 12,362

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 174 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total active cases to 12,362.

This marks a decrease from Monday's 369 cases and continues the trend of fewer than 500 daily infections for three consecutive days.

The national caseload now stands at 4,200,225 with 4,140,428 recoveries and 65,435 deaths.

Metro Manila leads in cases over the past two weeks with 2,906 infections, followed by Calabarzon (1,386) and Central Luzon (664).

Quezon City has the highest number of active cases at 670, followed by Cavite (396) and Manila (390).

The DOH also reported that no XBB 1.5 subvariant cases have been detected in the Philippines.
