Capiz logs 0% COVID-19 positivity rate by year-end

OCTA Research reported that Capiz logged a 0% positivity rate by year-end.

Capiz's positivity rate dropped significantly from 9.1% on December 24 to 0% on December 31, according to OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David.

Other areas in Mimaropa, Visayas, and Mindanao also saw decreases in their positivity rates, including Bohol, Cebu, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Leyte, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Zamboanga del Sur.

Oriental Mindoro's rate dropped sharply from 36.6% to 14.5%, while Aklan, Iloilo, and South Cotabato saw increases in their positivity rates.

In Luzon, Metro Manila’s positivity rate decreased from 11.6% to 9.1%, with other provinces like Albay, Batangas, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kalinga, La Union, Laguna, Mountain Province, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, and Zambales also recording declines.
